- CAUTION HERBICIDE APPLICATION. The Presidio has minimized herbicide use by using Integrated Pest Management. To protect the safety of people, pets, and the environment, when herbicides are used, we choose low-risk materials that will effectively control the weeds at this site. Date and approximate time of application. Stay out of treatment area during this time: Mon 1/13 & Tues 1/14, 8 AM - 4 PM. Area to be treated: Spot treat invasive weeds growing in sandy slopes where we are planting native habitat. These invasive weeds will be treated each with a different herbicide. Herbicide name: Vastlan; Vaquero; Capstone. Active ingredient: Triclopyr; Clethodim; Triclopyr + Aminopyralid. EPA identification number: 62719-687; 2935-559; 62719-572.
